DAY CARE TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Although we carefully screen all applicants, occasionally we discover that this is not an appropriate environment for every dog. The Collar Club Ltd reserves the right to permanently remove a dog from day care at any time. In addition The Collar Club Ltd reserves the right to disallow certain breeds to participate in the day care.

  2. The Collar Club is an open day care centre that involves dogs playing off lead in groups. I accept that there are inherent risks involved in this and that The Collar Club Ltd will not be liable for any injuries, illness or medical costs resulting from my dogs attendance.

  3. The Collar Club Ltd strongly recommend that owners have pet insurance for their dogs and that they check that the policy covers day care attendance.

  4. The Collar Club Ltd do not accept un-neutered male dogs over the age of 12 months. Younger male dogs that develop inappropriate hormonal behaviour before they are 12 months old may also be suspended from day care. Bitches who come into season will not be able to attend for the duration of the season, usually 2-3 weeks. Dog who have been chemically castrated, will be accepted.

  5. All dogs accepted must have an up-to-date vaccination certificate, it is advised that your dog is vaccinated against kennel cough. If vaccinating against kennel cough, please ask your vet about quarantining your dog as it is a live virus.

  6. The Collar Club Ltd require that all dogs attending day care are on year round flea and worm prevention. Whilst it is unlikely that your dog will get fleas at day care, there is always a possibility anytime your dog is exposed to other animals. If your dog is on flea prevention you won’t have to worry about having a problem at home. Flea prevention is for your protection.

  7. Dogs must attend and pass a behavioural assessment (Trial Session) to ensure they have a good and friendly nature towards humans and other dogs. The assessment must be completed before attending day care and can be booked via the only portal.

  8. A Trial Session will need to be completed if a dog hasn't attended The Collar Club for 2 months or more - this ensure that they are still suited to day care.

  9. All dogs must wear a collar and identifcation. If your dog does not have a well fitted collar on, our staff have no way of moving them from one area to another or removing them from the building in an emergency situation. We prefer dogs not to wear harnesses in the play area for safety reasons. But we will make an exception if your dog is unable to wear a collar.

  10. I agree to inform The Collar Club Ltd as soon as possible if my dog becomes ill or contracts an infectious disease. I understand that my dog will not be able to attend day care until the condition is resolved.

  11. If a dog requires emergency medical treatment whilst attending The Collar Club they will be taken to our nominated veterinary practice and I agree to assume all financial responsibility for all expenses incurred.

  12. I understand that The Collar Club Ltd is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged toys, leads, collars, beds, tags, clothing or any other items left with my dog.

  13. Payment is by debit/credit card at the time of booking.

  14. The Collar Club are open between 7.00am and 6.30pm.

  15. We will not accept dogs before 7.00am unless by prior arrangement and any collections after 6.30-pm will incur an extra fee of £5.00 for every 15 minutes over the closing time.

  16. Dogs booked in for a half day session that are collected after the 15 minutes grace period will be charged for a full day session.

  17. For dogs attending a full day session, they must be dropped off no later than 11.00am.

  18. Photographs of the dogs and regular updates regarding their stay may be uploaded to the centre’s Facebook page. Any owner not wishing to have their dog included must inform the centre.

  19. If your dog requires medication while at day care, we will need written consent from you along with written instructions. All medicines need to be in their original packaging.

  20. I understand that my dog can still contract kennel cough despite vaccination. I agree that I will not hold The Collar Club Ltd responsible if my dog does contract kennel cough.

  21. I understand that The Collar Club is a completely indoor facility and that my dog will have to toilet inside in the designated areas.

  22. The Collar Club Ltd request that your dog attends day care at least twice a month to maintain their place (obviously we will make allowances for holidays and emergency situations). Day care works best of your dog attends regularly.

  23. The Collar Club Ltd uses an online booking system to simplify appointment requests. All dogs must be booked in with us, with an appointment confirmation received, before they attend.

  24. We have a limited number of places available each day so we cannot accept dogs that have not been booked in. If you make an appointment, and no longer need it, this can be cancelled via the online booking system (up to 24 hours before).

  25. Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will result in the fee/credit for that session being fortfieted.  If the booking has not been paid for, an invoice will be sent for the cost of the cancelled session.

  26. I agree to abide by the terms and conditions and accept all terms, conditions, and statements of this agreement.

  27. I hereby release The Collar Club Ltd of any liability of any kind caused by my dogs attendance and participation at The Collar Club.
